One project, built in phases with the community
SMART HEALTH wasn't designed in isolation — it grew out of listening to young people, teachers, and health workers, then building and testing alongside them.

The project roadmap
Phase 1
Listen & design
We spoke with young people, teachers, and health workers across Rwanda to understand real gaps in SRH and mental health support.
Phase 2
Build the foundation
Development of the SMART HEALTH website, the Amani chatbot, and our first three tools — the tracker, coping cards, and mood journal.
Phase 3
Partner & pilot
Piloting with partner schools and health professionals, refining the referral pathway so it's fast, confidential, and trusted.
Phase 4
Grow & sustain
Expanding reach across more districts, deepening our resource library, and building long-term partnerships for lasting impact.

Strengthen referral pathways between young people and trained health professionals.
Reduce stigma around SRH and mental health through consistent, empowering messaging.
You don't have to figure this out alone.
